By Damali Mukhaye.

The Democratic Party president Nobert Mao has challenged the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura to investigate and expose the opposition leaders he claims are behind the hit men that are terrorizing citizens in different parts of the country.

While addressing the media yesterday Kayihura said they had started investigating the possible links between increasing crimes committed by machete-wielding men and some opposition politicians.

However, speaking to journalists at City House today, Mao said govt was hoodwinking the public into believing that the opposition leaders were behind these numerous attacks.

He added that although the opposition leaders are working on overthrowing the current regime, they are using peaceful means.

Mao has thus challenged the police chief to produce evidence to back his claims.
