The Leader of Opposition Matthias Mpuuga has castigated FDC’s Anthony Akol for neglecting their boycott.

Kilak North MP Anthony Akol is the only Opposition Member of Parliament who attended the plenary, which Mpuuga has condemned.

The Opposition in Parliament announced a two weeks strike, in protest of the rampant human rights violations, including torture, abductions, and the continued denial of bail to colleagues Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana.

Earlier, Mpuuga announced plans to censure the Minister of Security Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi for failing to respond to cases of torture and missing persons in the country, vowing that the boycott will continue.
