Several Opposition political parties have formed up a new political pressure group, with the view of liberating the country before 2025.

The new People’s Front for Transition will be led by the people’s government Dr Kizza Besigye, as the National Chairman deputized by the lord mayor of Kampala, Erias Lukwago.

Members within the Front include the People’s government (FDC, CP,, and Activists), the DP block, Social Democratic Party and UYD) UPC’s Peter Walubiri faction, CP, JEEMA among others.

Also, the transition has got observers that include PPP, ANT, and CSO’s.

While speaking at the launch the party president of FDC, Patrick Amuriat, said that elections alone can’t remove the current government from power, asking stakeholders to work together for transition.

Speaking at the launch of the Front, Besigye said due to the long-existing political, social, and economic justices in the country without any sign of overcoming them soon, democratic seeking Ugandans regardless of their political affiliations had to come up with the pressure group

He explained that the PFT will focus on creating grounds of liberating suffering Ugandans from the ruling NRM government before the next general elections.

Besigye urged Ugandans to embrace the front in order to fight for their fundamental human rights.
