Village Chairpersons in Rakai districts have raised concern over the delayed delivery of the bicycles promised by government.

The Village chairpersons revived the demand for their bicycles during a meeting with the Rakai District Chairperson Robert Benon Mugabi, while officiating at a function of giving out money to Village chairpersons in Rakai district.

The Village chairpersons claim that they do a lot of work without being paid and the bicycles which Government had promised to give them, as a token of appreciation was also in vain.

Rakai district chairperson, Mugabi promised the village leaders to follow up the matter with the ministry of local government to know what happened to their bicycles.
