Pilgrims from the Muslim holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia have been urged to change their ways of life to reflect the purity achieved during pilgrimage.

According to a statement issued this afternoon by Saudi Arabia’s Culture and Information ministry, More than 2.3 million pilgrims have completed Hajj this year.

Speaking to KFM, Uganda Muslim Supreme Council spokesperson Hajji Nsereko Mutumba says of these pilgrims, 800 were from Uganda, though one of them died and was buried on Tuesday morning.

He has urged the returning pilgrims to use that experience to strengthen their spiritual life.
