Only 7 out of the 25 members of the Eritrean delegation showed up today at Entebbe International Airport for the return flight to Asmara.

This is after the team was eliminated out of the on-going Cecafa tournament.

17 players and one team doctor vanished yesterday leaving behind only the head coach Ngash Teklit and his Assistant, the trainer of the goalkeepers, two players and two accompanying officials.

The FUFA Travel Officer Decolas Kiiza says only the 7 boarded NAS airlines and they have contacted security operatives to try and locate the whereabouts of the remaining players and the team doctor.

Meanwhile, the police have kicked off the hunt for the players.

The Spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Region Ibbin Ssenkumbi says preliminary investigations show that the players are staying with relatives in Muyenga and Kansanga surburbs.
