Three police officers have been dismissed after they were found guilty of assaulting a civilian.

Those dismissed are ASP Asbos Okumu, Patrick Muwonge and Lwanga Arafati.

While Simon Oswama has been demoted and Godfrey Odongo has been discharged.

This is after the Police Disciplinary Court convicted the 5 officers for assaulting a former employee of Mukwano Industries.

The disciplinary court headed by Joseph Ongom has convicted the group on charges of scandalous behavior, contrary to the police act.

Court has proved that the four under the command of ASP Okumu, man handled one Kasimu Ssuuna at Mukwano Industries who had gone to claim for his compensation.
