One person died on spot following last evening’s fire that gutted a moving a truck registration UAW 038M that was carrying fuel in plastic drums and jerrycans in Kabarole district.

The District CID boss, Godliver Twinomugisha says the accident happened along the Winy-Kasaija Road in Kisenyi, West division.

She says the deceased identified as 37 year old Mwesigye Kiyaye and six others who sustained serious injuries are admitted at Buhinga referral hospital.

Twinomugisha adds that the fire destroyed property worth millions among them six shops, two vehicles and a motorcycle.

The fire is suspected to have started from the plastic fuel drums that caught fire after some fuel spilled over to the exhaust pipe.
