The Pope’s decision to visit Uganda is an opportunity to tell the world that Uganda is safe for tourists.

In his meeting with president Museveni yesterday Pope Francis expressed willingness to come to Uganda to officiate at the 50th anniversary of the canonization of Uganda Catholic Martyrs at Namugongo next year.

Now the President Uganda Tourism Association Herbert Byaruhanga says the Pope’s visit offers Uganda an avenue to market her heritage especially the cultural and other unique tourism features.

Byaruhanga says it’s now time for tourist agencies in Uganda to start hunting for potential tourist destinations across the country.
