Government says the continued lack of support for government projects is fuelling poverty in Uganda.

State minister for children and youth affairs, Sarah Mateke says the government has injected a lot of money into poverty alleviation programs but people ignore them.

She says, what is required is for the people to choose the right enterprise and utilise this money.

She is optimistic that if such projects are supported by the ordinary Ugandan, the current poverty situation will be a thing of the past.
