The government of Uganda is moving to re-establish state owned industries to cater for state-run intuitions.

While commissioning the police garment factory in industrial area today, President Yoweri Museveni said that currently government is relying on the private sector for production of government goods some which are classified.

He explained that such companies are cost effective to the government and always ensure quality.

The commissioned factory has been co-funded by Uganda and the government of China and will produce police and army uniforms.
