By Samuel Ssebuliba:

President Yoweri Museveni is set to meet representatives of all media houses in Busoga region today to discuss the proposed constitutional amendment.

Early this month the president embarked on a countrywide sensitization program using radio talk shows to popularize the controversial land bill that aims at enabling government to acquire land for development projects without prior compensation.

According to the presidential press secretary Don Wanyama, the president is resuming his normal programme today and later on Wednesday he will engage media houses from Kampala and Wakiso at State House Entebbe.

Meanwhile, Land rights activists have tipped government on resolving land conflicts in the country.

Vice chairperson Uganda Land Alliance Agnes Kirabo says government needs to come up with a national land use plan that will help end the uncoordinated developments and conflicts.
