Prof Edward Kirumira unanimously recommended for college principal

Makerere University Council has unanimously recommended Prof Edward Kirumira who lost in the position for the new Vice chancellor search to maintain his position as the Principal College of Humanities and social sciences.

This follows a special meeting held yesterday after the council received and considered the recommendations of the University Senate on the Report of the Search Committee for college principals and deputy principles.

The others recommended include Prof.Bernard Bashaaha for College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Prof.John Kabasa for College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security, Prof. Fred Masagazi Masaazi for the College of Education and External Studies.

In the race for the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Kirumira only got two votes from the council.
