The battle over the KCCA House occupied by General David Tinyefuza has taken a new twist, with city councilors coming out to oppose his pending eviction.

The house in question is located on Plot2, Mabua road in Kololo and is currently occupied by the Director of intelligence services David Tinyefuza.

The Executive Director Kampala Capital City Authority Jennifer Musisi however says his occupation of the house is illegal and says he will be evicted unless he presents proof of ownership.

Six KCC Councilors have today addressed a press conference, urging the Executive Director and the city Lord Mayor to halt the eviction until the matter has been discussed before council.

The councilors claim that the council passed a resolution giving the house to Pearl Investments Limited, adding that its takeover could result in costly legal battles for the authority.

Makindye West Councilor Allan Sewanyana says the councilors have not been involved in the decision making process yet it is the council that makes final decisions.

The councilors now want the eviction which is scheduled for August 2nd halted and further discussions held.
