A school in Kayunga district has remained closed for months due to lack of a pit latrine.

Nakyesa Bright Future Primary School in Kayonza Sub-County was closed on April 16th after the only latrine that was used by over 700 pupils collapsed after a heavy down pour.

The school Head Teacher Anthony Ggabunga has decried the delayed response by the relevant authorities which he says is likely to affect the quality of education.

“Currently only 35 primary seven pupils are in school while the rest wait at home until we get help from the district or any well wisher”, says Mr. Gabunga.
