The State Minister for Animal Industry, Bright Rwamirama has directed security agencies to arrest persons found transporting livestock for slaughtering to urban areas at night.

Minister Rwamirama says this is done to prevent theft of animals and control of diseases.

He adds that Ugandans are free to eat meat on the market since the country is free from foot and mouth disease.
