The Uganda national basketball team – Silverbacks – will be at the 2025 Afrobasket in Angola later this year to make it four appearances in a row at the continent’s premier event. Uganda was placed in a group B of the qualifiers along Cape Verde, Libya and Nigeria.

The Silverbacks have collected two wins in five games across two qualification windows. The final qualification game against Libya on Sunday night is a formality as all four sides from the group B will be in Angola. Read more:
