Police at Mbirizi in Lwengo district are holding a 35 year old man for hacking his father over money.

Paul Katerega has been arrested for attempting to kill his father John Ntale following a disagreement resulting from money they were paid after completing a job.

It is alleged that Ntale who is a known builder in the area contracted a house which he was also supposed to roof asking his son Kateregga to help him do the work which Katerega did expecting to be paid.

Ntale revealed that they were paid shillings 300,000 for the construction work and he gave Katerega shillings 70,000 for assisting him which Katerega opposed claiming that he had to be given 150,000 since they worked together.

Noah Sserunjogi the Southern Region Police Spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying that Ntale has been taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment as investigations into the matter goes on.
