The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has urged Heads of State in the Great Lakes region to assist children born of war attain a decency of nationhood.

Kadaga says that given a number of insurgencies within the region, many children are produced in foreign countries and are abandoned without citizenship.

She says that there is need to at least have the children registered by host countries to accord them some degree of decency and sense of belonging because they do not choose their situations.

The Speaker was over the weekend addressing lawmakers of the Greater North Parliamentary Association in Kampala.
