The speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has threatened to sue one of local tabloids for alleged defamation.
This after it reported today that the speaker is critically ill and unable to even chair plenary sessions.
Addressing the media this morning, Kadaga has rubbished the reports explaining that she only suffered a sprain on one of her legs which confined her to her home in Kamuli town.

“I want them to prove that am dead. Am i not here speaking to you, do you think am a ghost?”a visible angry Kadaga told journalists at parliament today.
She adds that the media report were a direct attack on her personality since no reference was made to her for clarification or confirmation of the matter.
She thus says legal action has to be taken to clear her image.
