The speaker of parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga stopped parliament from debating the arrest of former IGP Kale Kayihura.

The matter was raised by the Kisoro woman member of parliament Rose Kabagyeni who noted that people of Kisoro wanted government to explain the arrest of their son

Kabagyeni also demanded to know when government plans to bring him to court since the 48 hour rule had elapsed.

However this prompted legislators including William Nzoghu,Guster Mugoya to attack him claiming that his matter are under investigation and thus parliament can’t discuss such issue.

In his ruling the speaker said that parliament should let investigations to continue
