Police in Ssembabule district are hunting for a woman who dumped her new born baby in a bush.
The woman who is yet to be identified is wanted for dumping the baby at an animal farm where she met her death.
The incident occurred at Lukwaasi Village, Lugusulu Sub County in Ssembabule district last evening.
The Village Chairperson, Toffa Ssemwanga, says the baby’s body was found by children who had gone to fetch firewood from the farm.
The children led locals to the spot where the baby’s body was lying before police was called in.
The Southern Region Police Spokesperson, Noah Sserunjoji, says the body has been taken for postmortem as the hunt for the mother continues.
