Stop Abusing disabled children

The Member of Parliament for persons with disabilities has decried over the increasing sexual abuse of disabled children.

Speaking during festival for PWDs at the regional school for the deaf in Busoba Sub County in Mbale, Hellen Asamo, said children with disabilities have remained soft target by sexual abusers.

Asamo said children with disabilities are raped, defiled and impregnated and that most of the cases go unreported because laws protect the abusers.

She has asked the police to investigate cases of sexual harassment that are common yet many victims find it very hard to report
