The country may have to wait a little longer before the Democratic Alliance (TDA) can announce a joint opposition presidential candidate.
This is after the Forum for Democratic Change flag bearer Dr.Besigye again stormed out of Alliance Summit meeting this evening.
He has told journalists at the alliance office in Naguru that he is only a candidate and so it is not his role to make the much anticipated declaration.
Asked if he had lost hope in the process, Besigye said he still believed in TDA as long as they agree.

The other candidate Amama Mbabazi also left the meeting a short while later and promised to address the media regarding the matter on Friday.
Meanwhile a group of FDC members of parliament has stormed TDA office and petitioned the summit seeking to have the candidate’s selection process expedited.
The MPs led by Rolland Mugume argue that they are running out of time. They also cautioned TDA on shifting goal posts on the mode of candidate selection from consensus which was agreed upon earlier to voting.
The petition has been received by one of the summit members Bishop Zac Niringiye
It remains unclear when the summit will declare a joint opposition presidential candidate for the 2016 elections following protracted meetings.
