The 18 people charged with the alleged killing of Muslim clerics have been committed to the High Court for trial.
The group was this morning produced at the Nakawa Court where the State Attorney Anne Ntimba told Grade One Magistrate Timothy Lumunye that the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) had concluded investigations into the matter.
The group that also includes the leader of the Tabliq sect at Nakasero Sheikh Yunus Kamoga, has now been sent back to Luzira prison until the next convenient session of the High Court.
Meanwhile 11 of these have been slapped with fresh charges of supporting and recruiting Allied Democratic Forces rebels
These, including Sheik Moody Bukenya will return to Nakawa Court on February 26th for mention of the case because invitations are still going on
They face a number of charges including murder, attempted murder and committing crimes against humanity.
Prosecution alleges that they took part in the murder of Sheikh Abdul Kadhir Muwaya, Sheikh Mustapha Bahiga as well as the attempted murder of Sheikh Haruna Jemba.
