The late Okurut’s funeral program released

Government has released the official program for the funeral of former minister Stanislus Okurut.

The former sports minister and husband to the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Mary Karoro Okurut succumbed to heart failure yesterday.

According to Ofwono Opondo, the executive director Uganda Media Center, the body will be taken for a night vigil at the Ministers’ village in Ntinda.

On Monday a requiem Mass will be held at Christ the King Church at 9:00am.

On Tuesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm, the body will lie in state at Parliament for Public viewing after which a special sitting shall be held for Members of Parliament to pay tribute to the deceased.

The late Stanislus Okurut will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Ngora district.

May his soul Rest in Peace.
