The suspected assailant of former MP Susan Nampijja has died

Godfrey Mukisa, the former boyfriend and suspected assailant of the former Rubaga South MP Susan Nampijja has passed way this morning at Mulago hospital.

Mukisa has been in critical condition ever since he was admitted at the hospital two weeks ago.

He is reported to have taken poison in an attempted suicide after allegedly hacking his ex-girlfriend Nampijja, leaving her for dead last week.

The Mulago National referral Hospital Public Relations Officer Dan Kimosho has confirmed his death saying they are still carrying out a postmortem to establish the exact cause of the death.

Meanwhile,

Former Rubaga South MP Susan Nampijja is continues to show remarkable healing from the wounds she sustained during the said attack.

Nampijja was attacked at her home in Kitebi, a city suburb, leaving her with serious head injuries.

Nampijja has totally recovered her memory and is now talking and feeding very well.

Her mother Eva Kasozi who is also her attendant says doctors have assured them that they will be discharged from the hospital soon.

The other two people who include a domestic assistant Harriet Kisakye who was deeply cut on the skull and Shakira Namutebi have already been discharged.
