The police Professional Standards Unit has discharged three senior officers over neglect of duty.

This followed the suspension of the entire all Busoga North Territorial Command by the Police Chief after the murder of Buyinja LC 111 chairman Peter Okware.
Those relieved of their duties are the former DPC Namayingo Fred Tayebwa, OC CID James Naduri and Waiswa Kakooza who was the Operations Commander.
The police spokesperson Fred Enanga says the trio had neglected their prime duties, and instead embarked on gold mining.
