Police in Arua district have rescued three Ugandans from an angry Congolese mob who wanted to lynch them.

According to police, Congolese Nationals mistook them for a suspect they accuse of murdering a top businessman.

The West Nile police spokesperson, Josephine Angucia said the business man was murdered by unknown people last week.

She explained that these three had crossed the border to deal in ivory trade, but they were attacked by mob who suspected to be among the hunted group, and started lynching them until Ugandan police come to their rescue.
