Albeit Top television and radio managed to clear its outstanding date with the Uganda Revenue Authority ( URA) it says it’s counting losses.

On Friday last week the tax body URA closed down both stations over non- tax compliance.

According to the debt manager, Abdul Salam, the two businesses had not cleared tax arrears amounting to Shs.200m for a period of two years.

Top TV and Radio manager Dastan Busulwa says the one day they were closed down they made losses of over 200 million shillings.

Busulwa notes that what they are doing is to cover up the losses they incurred.
