Two Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) legislators have been invited to attend the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary caucus on Friday at State House, Entebbe.

The Members of Parliament (MPs) are Kilak North,’s Anthony Akol and Emmanuel Ongiertho, (Jonam County).

Government Chief Whip,  Hamson Obua, confirmed the invitation, stating that the two legislators had expressed their intention to align with the NRM, though they have not officially joined the party.

“We have equally extended invitation to two special guests who are not primarily under the laws of Uganda members of the NRM but they have decided to associate with the party,” Obua said.

Before departing for the meeting, Akol told journalists he was unaware of the session’s proceedings. However, he added that if given the opportunity, he was prepared to contribute.

He emphasized that his attendance at the NRM caucus was not for personal gain, noting his consistent advocacy for his constituents’ issues. He further explained that his interests extend beyond Amuru district, encompassing concerns affecting the entire region.
