The Senior Six results have been released, showing 99% success rate.
This indicates an improvement from 98.2% performance rate in 2010.

Females and males tied in performance though the girls performed better in Entrepreneurship, Christian Religious Education and Islamic education.
The boys excelled in History, Economics and Art.

Results of 100 students have been withheld over suspected malpractice, with Mariam High School in Kampala, St. Theresa Girls Secondary School Buwanda, Nagende Secondary School and St. Johns College Mpigi, among the culprits.

The UNEB Secretary Mathias Bukenya says cases of inadequate preparation and failure to complete the syllabus were noted in some cases.

Bukenya also observed that there are still serious challenges of question interpretation, poor communication skills and failure to illustrate issues.
There was however remarkable improvement in the handling of apparatus for the physics candidates, though data interpretation remains a challenge.
At least 103,608 candidates sat for their national examinations from 1,239 centers across the country.
