Uber Signs Official partnership with Africell

David Kugonza | October 25, 2017

By Moses Kyeyune:

American private hire company Uber and Telecom network Africell have partnered and signed the ‘Uber with Africell’ partnership campaign agreement designed to enhance convenience with free rides for first time users.

The move comes in the wake of growing competition in the transport sector, with different service providers fighting for a sizeable share of the market.

The riders under this partnership will have ‘Wifi on Uber’ where free Wifi hotspots will be availed to customers Courtesy of Africell and also ‘Uber Dost’ where anyone in an Africell shop can order for Uber rides on immovable devices in Africell.

Uber Country Manager Aaron Tindiseega says the partnership will give riders a new feel of what Uber offers.
