The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board is today set to conduct the deferred 2020 exams in over 400 technical institutes across the country.

Addressing journalists at their offices in Ntinda this morning, the UBTEB Executive Secretary, Onesmus Oyesigye said students pursuing certificates in various programs were supposed to sit for their exams last year between November and December but due to covid-19, the exercise was postponed.

He said a total of 30,069 students will sit for their examinations from 460 centers across the country.

Oyesigye adds that the board has deployed 2,000 supervisors, 15,000 practical examiners and 443 scouts asking heads of institutions to observe the Standard Operation Procedures put in place by the ministry of health while conducting the exams.
