The government has been tasked to ensure domestication of Goal 7 of the Sustainable development goals.

Goal 7 is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

Speaking at a consultative meeting of Uganda National Alliance on clean cooking member, a private consultant on clean cooking Charles Atuhe said up to now not many Ugandans can afford the clean cooking technologies

He says while countries around the world made a commitment towards achievement of the global sustainable development Goals, individual countries have a duty to ensure this is domesticated.

The findings of the study conducted on the renewable energy policy are to be compiled in a policy brief to be shared with the ministry of energy for consideration during review of the national renewable energy policy.
