The Uganda Rugby cranes beat the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia for their first win this year on Saturday at the Kyadondo Rugby grounds and briefly climbed to third, a position originally occupied by Tunisia.

Uganda ran in 9 tries in total, converted 8 and added two penalties against Tunisia’s two tries and converted only one.

Uganda’s tries came through fullback Phillip Wokorach with a hat-trick, Michael Wokorach, Solomon Okia, Robert Masendi, Asuman Mugerwa the skipper with a brace and Ian Munyani.

Phillip Wokroach was voted man of the match following his hat-trick, two penalties and eight conversions bringing his points tally to 37 points.

Uganda’s next game will be against Morocco on 11th August for the second of the three home games.
