Uganda is willing to offer military support to South Sudan again once asked.

The statement has been made by President Museveni days after the last batch of Uganda’s contingent in South Sudan left the country.

Addressing the media at state house last evening president, Museveni said once asked to help, Uganda would not hesitate to send UPDF troops to south Sudan.

The last group of Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) soldiers withdrawing from South Sudan crossed into Uganda on Friday, leaving the country’s security in the hands of the Sudanese People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and the yet-to-be deployed the 12,600 United Nations (UN) peacekeeping force.
