The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is on the spot again. This time, over delayed release of senior six results.

The Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) General Secretary James Tweheyo says the continued delay is likely to affect those students who will fail the examinations but may want to repeat senior six.

Tweheyo says UNEB should come out and explain the method of assessment since some schools missed out the computer exam.

He adds that there were also changes in the setting of entrepreneurship exams whose assessment must also be explained.

Meanwhile, the exams body is asked to urgently give its verdict on withheld exams.

A total of 1424 primary seven exams and 1,800 senior four exams were withheld over malpractice.

Tweheyo says the parents and candidates are losing trust in the ongoing process because of the delays.

Tweheyo also says supervisors should also be held accountable for such malpractice.
