The National Examinations Board has registered an increment in the number of candidates that have registered for the 2014 national examinations.

Over 604,000 candidates have registered to sit Primary Leaving Exams compared to 580,000 in 2013, while 309,000 candidates registered for UCE this year compared to 295,000 in 2013.

However there has been a reduction in the number of UACE candidates from in 116,000 2013 to 109,000.

UNEB spokesperson Hamis Kaheru says the board has instructed center heads to cross check all the time tables and those who have not received the timetables yet, to visit their area supervisors.
