President Yoweri Museveni has received a 1,300-page Report from the Commission of Inquiry into the Uganda National Roads Authority.

Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire of the Court of Appeal, who led a six-month probe, presented the Report to the president last evening.

Among the issues that were investigated is the Shs9 trillion used by UNRA to construct 1,500km of roads in 7 years-funds which were enough to construct at least 5,147km.

The other is the Shs4 trillion that was misappropriated by the old UNRA team.

The Commission as now recommended the prosecution of over 90 people as well as assets recovery.

Meanwhile the President has ordered the Inspector General of Government, CIID and Office of the Auditor General to jointly follow and quickly have the culprits prosecuted.
