The Ministry of Works is set to work with the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to expedite recruitment of new engineers for the authority.

The commitment followed outcry from Members of Parliament on the physical infrastructure committee, following retrenchment of more than 35 senior engineers.

Speaking to KFM, the state minister for works Steven Chebrot said the issue of crucial vacant positions is of great concern to the ministry, and that all possible avenues are being pursued to bridge this gap.
