Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has issued what it describes as shame list with the names of 282 individuals and organisations who are top tax evaders in Uganda.

The public notice containing the names of the tax defaulters warns of possible prosecution against the listed taxpayers that fail to clear their outstanding tax liabilities amounting to billions of shillings.

According to the tax prefect, the issued public notice is a reminder to the listed taxpayers to settle their outstanding tax liabilities within seven (7) days from the date of its publication.
