The 4 people arrested over allegedly hacking into the Uganda Revenue Authority systems have been committed to the High Court for trial.
The suspects include Richard Kibalama an ICT Specialist, Patrick Owora and Farouk Mugere both clearing agents and one Guster Nsubuga, a businessman.
They are alleged to have hacked into the URA Domestic taxes computers to manipulate the import duty and vehicle registration records.
They face 6counts including charges of unauthorized use and interception of computer services, electronic fraud and unauthorized access to data.
The Director of Public Prosecutions says investigations into the matter have been completed and all is set for their trial.
They had appeared before the trial magistrate Dorothy Lwanga for their bail application but were instead remanded to prison, after court was informed that investigations into the matter are complete.
The suspects have been remanded to Luzira Prison until the next convenient High Court session.
