A woman who connived with her Congolese lover to kill her husband has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The Congolese gold digger identified as Christiano Bulira has been sentenced to 50 years after being found guilty of murder.

The two connived to kill renown actor Winkle Rutamirika, as his home in Nsambya, with intentions of taking over his businesses.

According to the evidence presented before court, the Congolese national pretended to be a big spender at the deceased’s family business, Texas Club Nsambya, while he planned on taking over his wife and property.

While delivering her sentence, anti-corruption court judge Catherine Bamugemeire accused the Congolese of betraying the deceased’s friendship and stabbing him in the back.

The judge ordered that Christiano Bulira should be deported to his home country after he has served prison sentenced.
The late Rutamirika was hit and killed with a piece of wood that was picked from his Nsambya based Texas bar.
