The youth in Teso region have been asked to engage in entrepreneurship activities that will help improve the area.

Speaking at the launch of the Teso Region Spotlight, an initiative aimed at guiding the private sector to the invaluable wealth, Gudula Naiga Basaza, the Executive Director of Gudie Leisure Farm urged the youth to engage in various agribusiness development activities that will help improve their lives.

Basaza said that the youth train weekly in the Parish Entrepreneurship Learning Associations (PELAs) established in the business associations designed to support the advancement of their enterprises.

She added that the industries are comprised of 25 cottages that have the potential of creating employment opportunities for 38,000 youth when fully operational.

Meanwhile, John Kokas Okode the Gudie Leisure Farm Teso Region Coordinator said the project has changed and improved the region through different engagements.

The event will take place on the 6th and 7th of August, 2023 at the Gudie Leisure Farm in Najjera.
