KCCA blames flooding on residents

The flooding experienced in some parts of Kampala has been blamed on irresponsible dumping by the residents.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is blaming residents for to dumping rubbish in drainage channels and along river banks, forcing flood water find its way into the suburbs.

According to KCCA Deputy Spokesperson Robert Kalumba those caught dumping in drainage channels will be punished.

This comes just a day after residents of different areas  like Bwaise, Kibuli and Kireka were affected by an early morning down pour.
