Over 30 people have sustained injuries following an accident involving two vehicles and a motorcycle at Namanve Industrial Park along the Kampala-Jinja high way.

An unidentified motorcyclist has been seriously injured and has been rushed to Mulago Hospital with fractured legs.

The lunch hour accident occurred after the driver of a TOYOTA  Coaster Commuter taxi traveling from Mukono to Kampala tried to avoid a head-on collision with a TOYOTA Rav 4 in the opposite direction.

The RAV 4, in the process of trying to overtake a line of vehicles, knocked the cyclist who sustained serious injuries.

All 28 passengers aboard the taxi escaped with minor injuries although the vehicle overturned as the driver dodged the oncoming RAV 4.

The officer in charge of Mukono traffic police Annette Nakibuuka has warned all drivers to be more careful.
