Government attacked over supplementary budget

As the end of the financial year draws closer, the civil society has raised concern over the numerous supplementary budgets sought by government.

Last week government presented a supplementary budget request of over Shs200 billion to support UPDF operations in South Sudan among other reasons.

However the programs director of Uganda Debt Network Julius Kapwepwe says asking for money at this time creates suspicion since such requests go against the public finance laws.
