Independent presidential candidate Prof Venansious Baryamureeba has explained his complaints regarding security.
While addressing a rally in Kayunga district on Monday, Baryamureeba was quoted as saying that he was suspending his campaigns due to inadequate security provided by the Electoral Commission.
However, he has told KFM that he only raised a general concern about the lack of official vehicles for candidates which puts their lives in danger.
He also dismissed reports of suspension of his campaign, saying he had only temporarily suspended rallies and embarked on other campaign strategies. Prof Baryamureeba says he has taken his campaign online under the hashtag #AskBarya as a way of reaching potential voters who cannot attend rallies.

Meanwhile Presidential campaigns enter day four with NRM’s candidate Yoweri Museveni heading to Otuke, Alebtong before returning to Lira town for his last rally.
Forum for Democratic Change flag bearer Dr. Kiiza Besigye heads to Kanungu district, while independent candidate Amama Mbabazi goes to Luweero.
The other independent candidates Joseph Mabirizi and Kyalya Walube are in Kamuli and Buyende, while Dr Abedi Bwanika will hold rallies in the eastern towns of Namutumba and Kaliro.
