Finance minister Kasaija forced to apologise

The Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Matia Kasaija has this afternoon apologised to Parliament for casting the House image in bad light.

The minister’s apology comes a week after instructions from the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, relating Kasaija’s own stance against the one percent tax on mobile money which he said was passed in error.

He however shifts the blame to the media.

It has become a common tendency for Political Leaders including USA President Donald Trump, to make one statement and then immediately claim another
